"Tuna Tataki Rice Bowl
Serves 1, adjust to feed more people

We understand that not everybody is a fan of raw fish, so here's an easy, healthy way of transforming your tuna sashimi into something healthy, savory and delicious. 

Ingredients: 
200 grams fresh tuna sashimi 
1 tbsp soy sauce
½ tbsp lemon or calamansi juice
½ tsp mirin
¼ tsp ginger (finely grated)
1 ½ tablespoon oil for searing
2 cups cooked white rice
¼ spring onions (finely chopped)
Avocados or pickled vegetables of choice (optional)

How to prepare:
1. In a small bowl, mix the lemon/calamansi juice, soy sauce, mirin and ginger. (You can use coconut amios instead of soy sauce to make it gluten free) Set aside.
2. Warm the oil in a pan over medium-high heat until it starts to sizzle.
3. Add the tuna slab to the pan and sear for no more than 15-30 seconds on each side, depending on how raw you like your fish. You can use a pair of heat-proof thongs for easier flipping. 
4. Cut the tuna thinly across the grain with a sharp knife. 
5. Arrange the tuna slices over a hot bowl of rice and drizzle the sauce mix. Garnish with spring onions
6. Add sliced avocados/pickled vegetables beside the tuna to complete the rice bowl.
